If you've ordered a CEMA product recently, you'll have noticed straight away: our packaging has had a makeover. Before we dive into everything else in the pipeline for bearings, bottom brackets and pulley wheels, we wanted to take a moment to explain this update and why we made it.
Why a new package design?
At CEMA, everything revolves around precision and quality, two values that don't stop at the product itself. The box your order arrives in is, for many customers, the first physical touchpoint with the brand. We wanted that experience to feel just as considered as our bearings.
- Better protection in transit. Precision parts like ceramic bearings are sensitive to impact. The new packaging is even sturdier and even better cushioned, so every part arrives in perfect condition.
- More sustainable materials. We're switching to packaging material with a lower environmental footprint, without compromising on durability.
- Stronger brand recognition. The new look aligns more closely with our brand identity, so you know at a glance you're holding a genuine CEMA product.
What stays the same
Importantly, the contents haven't changed. Every bottom bracket, wheel bearing and headset bearing is still manufactured to the ABEC-5 standard we've stood behind for years. Only the outside got an update, the quality inside remains at the same top level.
When will you see the new packaging?
The rollout is gradual. Existing stock in the old packaging is sold first, after which new deliveries will arrive in the updated box by default. You don't need to do anything, the transition happens automatically with your next order.
